"The cooperation between the Municipality of Helmond and IP Parking started in 2012 with Stadsparkeren, which is also known as Gepast Parkeren in Helmond. With 22 thousand subscribers, Gepast Parkeren is unprecedentedly popular in our municipality. I hear around me only positive sounds about Gepast Parkeren; people can't live without it anymore.
High quality level
IP Parking recently won the tender to install new hardware and software in two parking garages in Helmond. IP Parking was awarded the contract because they stood head and shoulders above the rest in terms of quality; it was almost impossible to put a pin in it. The same goes for innovation: IP Parking is willing and has the knowledge and capabilities to develop certain technical novelties that respond to user needs. Of course, our years of pleasant cooperation with IP Parking also gave us confidence that they were the right party for this assignment. Plans will become operational in October.
Appropriate Shopping
In 2017, IP Parking introduced Past Shopping in the form of a pilot in the municipality of Helmond. This allows consumers to save parking credit at affiliated stores. Gepast Winkelen offers us as a municipality a marketing tool to make parking more affordable in addition to parking convenience and payment convenience. We are currently looking at how we can further expand Gepast Winkelen in the future.
Future plans
In the future, the range of Bicycle Parking in Helmond will be expanded. Bicycle parking offers us as a municipality more insight into the total mobility story. In addition, with a view to the future, we are striving for a low-car center. The focus here is on reducing the number of on-street parking spaces and encouraging parking in garages. Reservation in parking garages is also a topic that needs attention and which we will take up together with IP Parking.
