Corporate Social Responsibility

At IP Parking, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is central to our operations. IP Parking is a leading company in the mobility industry and attaches great importance to Corporate Social Responsibility. We are actively committed to sustainability, inclusiveness and corporate responsibility. Our innovative solutions and services are focused on creating added value for society. We strive to make a positive impact by setting concrete goals such as reducing our carbon emissions, promoting inclusion and increasing the reliability and energy efficiency of our equipment. Our CSR policy is based on three pillars: environment, social responsibility and governance.

 

Environment

We take various measures to minimize our environmental impact and strive to reduce our carbon emissions every year. One example is our 100% web-based parking management system, which reduces the need for physical presence, leading to fewer travel movements and lower CO₂ emissions. We encourage carpooling and the use of electric lease cars among our employees, which contributes to our goal of reducing annual CO₂ emissions per FTE. Furthermore, we have implemented energy-saving innovations in our equipment, such as the use of LED lighting and idle modes, and we continue to look for new ways to improve energy efficiency. We also work with specialized partners for the environmentally friendly disposal and recycling of our products, such as with the Van Leeuwen Group for responsible waste disposal according to WEEE (Waste of Electrical and Electronical Equipment). Used packaging materials are taken back and reused if possible. Damaged parts are also refurbished where possible in the form of exchange units.

 

To reduce CO₂ emissions at our on-site customers, we offer ticketless parking solutions with fully automated license plate recognition for ingress and egress, eliminating the need for paper tickets. In addition, this technology reduces emissions in parking garages because, thanks to high-speed license plate recognition cameras, parkers do not have to stop at the barrier but can drive through at a constant speed. This eliminates unnecessary stopping and acceleration of vehicles, saving CO₂ emissions.

 

To deliver our products overseas, we use sea transport, an environmentally friendly choice due to its low carbon emissions per ton-kilometer. In addition, our products are shipped as stock orders rather than project-based shipments, making the most efficient use of available container space. This approach minimizes the risk of shipping partially filled containers, contributing to more efficient transportation and a lower carbon footprint.

 

Social Responsibility

Inclusion and community involvement are important to our business operations. We work closely with Maakwerk BV, a social manufacturing company that employs people distanced from the labor market to assemble our products. This partnership not only supports our organization's inclusive vision, but also provides employees of Maakwerk with the opportunity to advance to IP Parking. We remain committed to expanding this inclusive employment and increasing diversity within our workforce. Furthermore, we invest in the sustainable employability of our own employees through a personal development budget and by organizing internal trainings and workshops.

 

Our commitment to society is reflected in our support of various charities, local and national. For example, we support sports clubs in Deurne and organizations such as Fonds Gehandicapten sport & FC Robinstijn. We also contribute to the Foundation for Living with Cancer, Radboud Foundation, and donate annually to the Prinses Maxima Center for pediatric oncology. We also support educational road safety projects for children in Oss and Groningen, the Sprong College in Deurne, and the cross-country teams of Vasquez High School in California. In addition, we open our doors during the Open Companies Route in Deurne so that the local community can get to know our company better.

 

Governance

IP Parking meets strict quality and safety standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and VCA* certifications. We are committed to transparency and accountability, as evidenced by our partnership with FIRA for CSR reporting and our participation in the CO₂ performance ladder. We also conduct regular internal audits to ensure that our business processes meet the highest ethical and legal standards.

 

An important aspect of our governance is the reliability of our equipment. IP Parking is a Dutch company and development and assembly are done entirely in the Netherlands. We source our materials in Western Europe, ensuring that everything meets EU standards and limiting transport (emissions). It also excludes child labor. Through this insourcing process, we maintain direct control over production processes and can monitor and maintain strict quality standards. Insourcing keeps production expertise and crucial knowledge in-house, helping to deliver reliable products. This enables us to ensure the highest quality standards. Another example of our governance is our use of PRTG monitoring to proactively detect and resolve failures, which contributes to our goal of maintaining and improving the reliability of our systems.

 

Report

Transparency is a core value within our CSR policy. We report annually on our progress and performance through external audits and certifications such as the CO₂ performance ladder and FIRA. These reports are publicly available in the CSR Register and detail our impact and areas for improvement. We aim to maintain and further improve our TIM (Transparency/Impact/Management) rating of 3 stars by honing and achieving our CSR goals each year.
