Jumbo and Albert Heijn start with "cardless" parking

A supermarket's main concern is to ensure sufficient parking spaces for their customers. A traditional parking system with parking tickets can take care of that, but also creates a lot of "extra" work for the daily operations.

IP Parking has developed a great solution for this where the parking ticket is no longer used. Instead of the parking ticket, the system functions 100% on license plate recognition. If the customer leaves the parking facility within the "free exit time", they can simply exit without doing a single operation. If a person stays longer, a "penalty fee" can be charged at the exit that can be paid by PIN or credit card payment.

Key benefits of this concept:

  • 3 x faster throughput at both entrance and exit.
  • No recurring charges for parking tickets.
  • Significant reduction in breakdowns because there are almost no mechanics.
  • Price-wise very interesting because central cash registers are no longer needed.
  • Customers who use the parking facility within the desired "pattern" do not have to perform any action when entering and exiting.
  • So very friendly for your customers.
