IP Parking wins tender for WTC Rotterdam

IP Parking wins tender WTC Rotterdam. IP's tender was judged by WTC to be the most user-friendly. On this basis, IP was awarded the contract for the purchase, installation and maintenance of the new web-based parking management system.

October 25, 2016

The WTC and V&D garages are operated by Bouwinvest Dutch Institutional Office Fund, with DTZ Zadelhoff Property Management BV as delegated client.

Ease of use
When replacing the existing parking equipment, Bouwinvest explicitly opts for ease of use for the parking customer. With this in mind, the system must be equipped with license plate recognition. When a short-term parker enters, the license plate number should be read and linked to the short-term parking ticket. After paying the parking fee due, the short-term parking ticket is released for exit. When the vehicle arrives at the exit, the license plate camera checks whether the short-term parking ticket has been paid in full. If the parking fee is paid in full, then the exit ramp barrier is raised and the parker can exit without presenting his parking ticket.

Subscribers

The system is also for subscription holders and any holders of various value cards. The license plate number can be linked to the subscription or value card. With a valid subscription or value card, the license plate recognition should open the barrier without presenting the card in question.

Call Parking

The system also works for customers connected to Stadsparkeren and Parkmobile. These call-parkers park in the parking garages via their license plate number and by presenting their pass/token at the entrance and exit. Online, the calling provider's database is accessed. If the license plate number is known to the calling provider as a customer, the parking action is started by opening the entrance barrier. The parking action is terminated by opening the exit barrier.

Management

Daily management takes place from the Central Control Room in the hall of the WTC. A manager will be present for a number of hours each week. At the Central Control Desk, all camera images can be called up, all intercom calls can be answered and the parking equipment can be operated. The complete system is web-based and thus workplace-independent.
