Amphia Ziekenhuis's new parking garage has four floors, three entrances and exits equipped with license plate recognition, nine charging stations for electric cars, approximately twenty parking spaces for the disabled and 950 parking spaces. Visitors who have difficulty with the distance of about 300 meters from the garage to the hospital can use a shuttle bus.
Paid parking for staff
IP Parking has expanded its City Parking service to make paid parking easier for large groups. This includes the more than three thousand employees of Amphia Hospital.
Traffic jams often occur during peak hours because the traditional way of parking is time-consuming. License plates are always unique and therefore extremely suitable as a means of identification when granting access to a parking facility. As a result, Amphia creates a very smooth and fast flow of traffic. This reduces emissions by a factor of 3, as vehicles do not have to stop at the barrier.
Amphia's facilities department is unburdened as employees can independently change license plate(s) through the personal page. In case of questions, your employees/students directly contact the City Parking help desk, which is available 24/7.
Stadsparkeren takes care of the entire financial administration for the financial department. The collected parking fees are paid out monthly without any collection risk.
Knowledge meeting 'care for parking'
On September 27, 2018, Vexpan organized the 'care for parking' knowledge meeting especially for those responsible for parking issues within hospitals. This turned out to be a great success. People from all parts of the Netherlands came to this meeting to get inspiration on parking issues, but also to exchange knowledge and experience.
During this meeting, Ms. Ten Broek (Manager Knowledge Core Facility Management & Housing) gave a presentation titled "Parking in the Hall. After all, that is what everyone would prefer to do.
During this enthusiastic presentation, the cooperation between the Amphia Hospital in Breda and IP Parking came out positively.
