IP Charging provides the Municipal Parking Garages in Assen with a Future-proof Charging Solution
The Municipality of Assen has taken an important step in making its mobility infrastructure more sustainable by installing 75 OSTRA charging stations for electric vehicles in seven municipal parking garages. This project is an important milestone in the municipal charging vision and responds to the growing demand for electric vehicle charging stations.
With a parking capacity of approximately 2,600 spaces spread across seven parking garages, reliable and future-proof charging solutions have now been installed by IP Charging at each location.
The Challenge
For the Municipality it is important that the growing number of electric vehicles can be charged safely and efficiently, in order to increase convenience for residents and visitors. In this regard, the reliability of the charging stations was a key requirement and the charging stations must integrate seamlessly with IP Parking's existing Parking Management System (PMS). In addition, it must be a future-proof solution, with the municipality able to scale up capacity as demand for charging stations increases.
The Result
Gemeente Assen now has a fully integrated, reliable and scalable solution that responds to the growth of electric traffic. IP Parking's PMS is linked to BlueMarble's Charge Point Management System (CPMS). This ensures that the Municipality of Assen will soon be able to manage charging and parking services through one user-friendly platform, and that parking and charging can easily be processed in one transaction through a Direct Payment.An important advantage of our charging solution is Dynamic Load Balancing. This distributes the available charging power efficiently across the charging stations per parking garage, without overloading the network. The project not only makes a positive contribution to making the city more sustainable, but also improves parking facilities for both residents and visitors.
