Visitors to the municipal parking garages in Enschede can now drive in and out faster due to the introduction of a parking system with license plate recognition.
With IP Paking's new parking system, visitors get a ticket from the machine at the barrier when entering the parking garage. The license plate number is then printed on the ticket. Upon returning, the visitor pays at the pay machine. With the new system, it is no longer necessary to present the paid parking ticket at the exit gate. In fact, when exiting, the barrier opens automatically based on the license plate number. Contactless payment also provides more convenience in the garages.
Visitors who have lost their parking ticket can enter the license plate number at the pay machine. The amount due will then be displayed so that they can pay.
Subscription holders no longer need to present their card at the barrier. They can simply enter and exit the parking garage based on their license plate number. For greater convenience, visitors can pay in cash, by debit card, credit card and also contactless. Visitors can also choose to pay by credit card or contactless at the exit.
The H.J. van Heekgarage is the first garage to work with the new system starting September 16, 2016. The Mooienhofgarage (formerly V&D), Stationsplein and the Irenegarage will follow in the following weeks.
