After obtaining my MTS Electronics degree, I immediately started working as a sales and field sales representative in the consumer electronics industry, where I could put my passion for image and sound into it.
After 20 years, it was time for a new challenge. I realized I was out of my depth in my current position and started looking for a new position within engineering.
I first familiarized myself with a few companies, including IP Parking. Fortunately, an interesting position in the field service came up fairly quickly, and I applied for it. My application was followed by two interviews in which it became clear to me that the working hours in the field service did not fit well with my home situation. I found that very unfortunate, especially since I had had such a good feeling about it. This feeling was entirely mutual, but at that time there was nothing we could do for each other.
Not much later I received a phone call; a new position had become available in the inside sales department at IP Parking and I was invited for an interview. In this position I would be responsible for the repair department and would support the test department. This was something I was interested in! When it turned out that the working hours fitted perfectly with my home situation, the contract was quickly signed.
I have been working at IP Parking for several years now and I am still learning new things every day. I find that I love working in a dynamic environment with flexible working hours and with a nice team for which parties are organized regularly.
I am very happy that I dared to take the step to leave my familiar surroundings and go for this new challenge. I feel I can go on for years.
Will you be my new colleague?
