API, short for Application Programming Interface
An interface between software applications or hardware and software that allows, for example, to develop applications where both systems can be quickly and easily linked based on real-time data exchange.

Bike Rental Service
Inner cities are becoming increasingly congested. More and more people choose a P+R site and continue their journey by bike to get to the heart of the city. The Bike Rental Service offers parkers the opportunity to rent/lend a bicycle upon showing their parking ticket. It is a sustainable way to discover the city by bicycle. Theft of the bike is impossible because exiting is only possible when the bike is taken, so the vehicle serves as collateral.
This API provides communication between the bike rental and parking management system.
