The hospital is situated at two different locations, 10 kilometres apart. IP Parking's web-based architecture allows the creation of one parking system with no additional local servers or software. Everything is observed and managed from one central location.
A total of six full service pay-on-foot stations are installed plus five entries and exits. All barriers are equipped with licence plate recognition cameras allowing morning and afternoon traffic to enter or exit the parking facility very fast.
Using license plate recognition also offered additional short term parking benefits since the necessity of presenting a parking ticket when exiting is eliminated. The system knows when a particular ticket has been paid for and opens the gate automatically when this is the case.
Next to the parking management system, Elkerliek hospitals are also completely switching to IP Parking's access control system. All doors will be equipped with a Mifare reader that is connected to the central Parkbase management software. All equipment is directly connected to the web-based control room application. In this application, all buttons are directly available and programmable allowing all main tasks to be handled by using a single screen.
The project has been handled turnkey allowing IP Parking to fully upgrade the system within a short period.
The amount of traffic is increasing at Deurne's subsidiary of the hospital resulting in the implementation of paid parking. IP Parking has also been selected to provide the parking management system fort his facility, including a CCTV system.
